i gave this heart shaped rock to marsha
years ago
when i first met her she had a bowl carved out of stone on her coffee table filled with
rocks of many different shapes, colors and sizes
i knew i had found a kindred spirit on that day!!
the verse on the rock was handwritten by me
it says
He will quiet you with His love
Zeph. 3:17
oh my goodness how beautiful is that?
why does His love quiet us?
because no matter what is happening,
what people are saying,
or not saying,
whether we are succeeding
or failing
whether we have our heads up high
or are weighed down,
whether we see the silver lining
or only a dark cloud
the knowledge of His love
constant and unending
is quieting to the soul.
no matter what
nothing can separate us from His love
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,
nor angels nor principalities nor powers,
nor things present nor things to come,
nor height nor depth,
nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God
which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 8:38-39)
i don't know about you but that is
ridiculously comforting
it quiets me
it soothes me
it takes the pressure off me
no matter what i am loved
no matter what you are loved.

today we spent the day with ken and trish
and it was sooooo beautiful and rich
we talked, we laughed, we cried,
we share our stories in a real and honest ways
we played cards
we ate together
we sang together
such sweet harmonies....
it will be a day that i will remember
for many days to come
love was there
He was there.
